Sorry I don't have the pictures of the final product. Its just that I got busy serving it in short time.
The paratha roles are similar to gyro wrap but its in desi style. In Pakistan, this style is also called shawarma. You can do many variations with this dish. You can add whatever and however you want for the filling, you can add your choice of sauces and also have an option to choose chapati, paratha or naan for the wrap. This particular one is made with tikka style chicken and parathas. So here you go.
Take chicken in desired quantity. It doesn't matter if the chicken is in small/big pieces. Add the following ingredients in the chicken and marinate it for 1/2 to 1 hr.
Yogurt, ginger garlic paste, Shan tandoori chicken masala, Shan chicken tikka masala, lemon juice, sour cream, soya sauce, vinegar, a lil bit of salt.
After the marination is done, put this chicken along with its masala into a pan and cover it, cook it on medium heat. When the chicken is half done, add a tablespoon of oil. When the chicken is done and the oil is separated from the masala, remove from the flame. After letting it cool down, using your hands shred the chicken pieces into smaller size. Now add the masala into the shredded chicken and mix both well.
Now in a separate pan, add oil (quantity depending on the amount of vegetables you are going to use). You can use vegetables of your choice. I added onion and did let it saute. Then I added carrot, pickled chillies, tomatoes, lettuce, green chillies. I chose these because I had only these vegetables in my refrigerator. So its totally upto you what you want to add. Now add the chicken mixed with its masala into the vegetables and cook everything on medium heat for about 5 to 10 minutes. Remove from the heat. Filling is ready now.
Parathas: (used for wraps)
(I will post the recipe of the parathas along with the pictures soon)
Now to make paratha I used the regular dough that is used to make roti (Pakistani bread).
For the paratha dough (add a tablespoon of oil and a pinch of salt in to the flour and kneed it well by adding the water). Now make small balls and make chapatis out of them and let them cook on heat (you can use frying pan too). Add oil as desired. When the parathas are ready, put the desired amount of filling on the parathas and wrap them. Now your paratha roles are ready to serve.
